The Redlands Conservancy is a non-profit group dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the community assets that have historical, architectural, and cultural significance for Redlands and the surrounding region. We strive to help our community realize the full economic, social, and aesthetic potential of its architectural and geographical assets.
It’s about quality of life
Quality of life isn’t just a buzz-word; it’s a reality, and it’s critical to people’s well-being. The people of the Redlands Conservancy understand this, and they have become the guardians of Redlands’ distinctive and highly desirable quality of life.
We work to protect both the historic built environment and the irreplaceable natural environment. We make things happen with a full-time Executive Director and a team of dedicated volunteers. The Historic Preservation Program has projects to protect historic buildings, historic districts, and the historic downtown. The Land Trust Program works to place open lands in conservation, develop a networking trail system, and create an environmental education program for Redlands’ residents and visitors.
It’s not enough to try to do all this on our own, so we partner with the City of Redlands’ staff and elected officials, willing land owners, local and regional preservation organizations, and local and regional land trusts. We want every one to know what we’re doing.
Our work, which benefits the entire community, faces challenges and opportunities which can involve every hand and heart in Redlands.
