Jimmy Lofton is a native of South Carolina, growing up in the Pee Dee area in the "Prettiest Town in Dixie" - Cheraw. He left South Carolina for a short period of time only to get his Forestry Degree from Lake City Forestry School in Lake City, Florida in 1975. He worked as a procurement forester for a few years before starting J.B. Lofton Realty & Appraisals in 1983. He is a South Carolina Registered Forester, a SC Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, and is a SC licensed real estate broker-in-charge.

Jimmy has been involved in hundreds of land sale transactions through his real estate, forestry & appraisal services. His hobbies include improving his farms, hunting, and grandchildren."
