Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trustlast updated: October 2014

Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust is a charitable nonprofit organization founded in 1993 to conserve land, water and wildlife habitat for the communities of northwestern Hancock County.

Besides conserving land via purchase and conservation easement, GPMCT works with local partners to sponsor year-round educational and recreational events on the Wildlands property and at other area locations. Events range from lectures to hikes, trail work days, our annual Christmas Greens Gathering and more.

GPMCT is governed by a 15-member volunteer board of directors, and currently has a part-time executive director and Wildlands steward, with offices on Lower Main Street in Bucksport. The Board of Directors meets on second Mondays; many volunteer committees also meet regularly.
