Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy Inc.

From Caledon to Manitoulin the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy (EBC) keeps busy creating a legacy of nature. Since 1998 we have created 94 nature reserves protecting a total of 7,700 acres along the Niagara Escarpment.

Twelve and a half km of Great Lakes shoreline and the habitat of 59 rare and endangered species are now protected thanks to the generosity of our donors. No new houses, no gravel pits, no golf courses, no commercial water-taking, just nature by itself, serene and undisturbed.

Our goal is simple: help Ontario landowners conserve their land. We are a group of volunteers helping from Toronto, Gore Bay, Little Current, Owen Sound, Cargill, Thornbury and Milton. Our reserves stretch from Caledon East to Silverwater on Manitoulin Island.
