There Used to Be Safety in Numbers.

But right now, our nation's health depends on distance. This short inspirational video created by the National Grazing Lands Coalition is worth watching. Remember always that farmers, ranchers, and foresters are all in this with us as we endure these challenging times. They provide the food we need to stay healthy and well, the lumber for products that we use every day...especially the necessities of toilet paper and paper towels!

We are here for you. LandCAN is an online directory that provides the tools, services, and functionality that empowers landowners across America to implement stewardship and conservation practices on their lands. All you need is fingers on a keyboard in the safety of your home to bring conservation resources to your land.

Stay safe and be well!

Even though we're apart, we're all in this together.

Migratory Bird Day

The United States celebrates International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 9th!

Did you know that bird migration is the regular seasonal movement? It's often north and south along a flyway between breeding and wintering grounds, undertaken by many species of birds. The timing of migration is controlled primarily by changes in day length. Migrating birds navigate using celestial cues from the sun and stars, the earth's magnetic field, and also mental maps.

Want to learn about the basics of bird migration? The Cornell Lab Bird Academy shares information on their website answering the how's, why's, and where's of bird migration.
