Verde Natural Resource Conservation District

The vision of the Verde NRCD is to maintain and enhance the quality of life in the district through science and tradition-based management of natural resources. In addition to ensuring equity among shared interests, respecting diverse cultural values and preserving environmental health of our land, the Verde NRCD is dedicated to promoting appropriate economic growth and financial security of present and future generations.

The Verde NRCD includes portions of two counties: Yavapai and Coconino. The majority of the cities/towns are located in the Verde Valley, a northwest trending valley in the central-west portion of the District. Incorporated municipalities within the Verde Valley include Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, and Sedona. Unincorporated towns include Cornville, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma, Page Springs, McGuireville, and the Village of Oak Creek. The northern section includes Munds Park and Kachina Village. The town of Mountainaire, just south of Flagstaff, is at the northernmost point; Happy Jack is at the eastern edge; Childs is at the southernmost point; and Jerome is at the western edge.
