Spink County Conservation District

Mission
to encourage and assist all people in the county to maintain and improve environmental qualities through the wise use of natural resources.

The Spink County Conservation District was established in 1941 and lies within and includes all land in Spink County. The James River flows through the county from north to south.Spink County offers an abundance of outdoor recreation, including excellent pheasant and whitetail deer hunting. The James River and numerous lakes provide for fishing, boating and other water related activities.

The Spink County Conservation District provides many services to the producers, such as tree belt planning, tree planting, fabric application, tree cleaning, grass seeding, spraying, and hand plant sales.
