Background: Shane was born and raised in central Maryland and moved to North Idaho in 2002 after graduating from Garrett College. He worked for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game for two years as a Fishery Biology Aid and then as a land surveyor for James A. Sewell Engineering from 2004 to 2007. He attended University of Idaho in 2007 and worked seasonally for the USFS as a silviculture technician from 2008-2010. He joined IFM in 2011 and works on a variety of projects, including timber cruising contracts, forest management plans, and wildfire suppression.
