Prairie Bayou Wildlife Management Area
Prairie Bayou WMA encompasses 453 acres in southeastern Lonoke County, south of Carlisle. The area was acquired through the Farmers Home Administration program in 1994. The WMA is part of the Grand Prairie ecosystem. Deer, squirrel, rabbit, wintering waterfowl and many nongame animals use the area. Access is restricted to foot traffic only.

Prairie Bayou is accessed from Raborn Road, which veers off Arkansas Highway 70. To get to the WMA, take Raborn Road and proceed south for 6 miles. A parking area is on the east side of the WMA.
