Old River Wildlife Management Area
More than 40 species of mammals and 150 species of birds, including the bald eagle, have been identified on the property. Old River also harbors alligators and 13 species of endangered reptiles. Old River WMA consists of 13,206 acres of forests, swamps, and fields. It is open to wildlife viewing and seasonal hunting and fishing.

Camping is allowed in designated areas only. AWMA Camping Permit is required for any individual or group (maximum of 6 people) that is camping on this WMA and may be purchased wherever licenses are sold. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days. Camping equipment may not be left unattended for more than 24 hours. All camping equipment and garbage must be removed before final departure.
