Minnehaha Conservation District

Minnehaha Conservation District was created in 1941 to administer soil, water, and related resource conservation within the boundaries of Minnehaha County in southeastern South Dakota. Sioux Falls, the largest city in South Dakota, lies within Minnehaha County and is home to the beautiful falls of the Big Sioux.

Minnehaha Conservation District is self-governed and has the authority to enter into working agreements with government agencies and private concerns to carry out its purposes. The district will consult with and make recommendations to all agencies or organizations helping to promote conservation activities in order to coordinate their activities into holistic conservation programs in Minnehaha County.
