Fannin Soil & Water Conservation District

Mission Statement
The Fannin Soil and Water Conservation District will assist and encourage each land occupant to utilize each acre of land so as to protect and conserve it along with the resources of water and air for the present and future generations.The district is governed by a five member board of directors, who are landowners in Fannin County. The county is divided into 5 zones with one director elected from each zone. They are elected by the landowners of Fannin County and serve a four year term. The board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at 200 East First Street, Bonham, TX.

  • Derrell Hall, Secretary

The USDA-NRCS provides technical assistance to the district and landowners of Fannin County to help solve resource management problems. Information and assistance with soils, agronomy, forestry, plant science, biology, engineering and wetland development are just a few of the services that are provided.
