The Berkshire-Litchfield Environmental Council (BLEC) is a group of citizens acting together as an advocate for the natural environment of Berkshire and Litchfield counties. Consequently, BLEC shall:

• Identify and respond to potential environmental crises.
• Educate the community for greater awareness of our relationships with our environment.
• Participate in shaping the decisions which affect our environment.

BLEC must develop and maintain the support necessary for implementing these activities.
