Stephen G. Reardon

Steve Reardon focuses his practice on health care, general corporate and business law, estate administration, wills and trusts law.  He is heavily involved in representing providers of Long Term Care Services such as nursing and assisted living communities, hospice providers, continuing care retirement communities and physician practices.  Steve also advises business and non-profit enterprises and organizations in matters related to regulatory, employment, organizational governance, risk management and 501(c) status.  He was appointed by the Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates to a second four-year term on the Commonwealth Council on Aging beginning in July 2010.  In September 2010, Governor McDonnell appointed Steve to the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth.

Steve's health care clients rely upon him to represent them on regulatory issues including COPN, HIPAA, Medicare and licensure matters.  Steve's estate planning and estate administration services allow him to assist clients in providing the best solutions for their families.  He was a member of the Spotts Fain team that was recognized by the Virginia Lawyers Weekly as achieving in 2011 the fourth largest settlement in Virginia for a matter involving a will contest. 

Steve is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association; Virginia Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging, serving on the Public Policy Committee; the Virginia State Bar and the Richmond Bar Association.  Steve is President of the Board of Trustees of Benedictine College Preparatory; past chairman of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond Advisory School Board; a director on the Board of the McMahon Parater Foundation; a director of the St. Thomas More Society; and a member of the Leadership Council for the Mid-Atlantic Catholic Schools Consortium.
