Sidney St. F. (“Pete”) Thaxter chairs the firm’s Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group at Curtis Thaxter. For more than thirty years, he has led the estate group and has also focused on business succession and traditional estate planning. He continues to represent beachfront property owners in protecting the oceanfront property owners from claims by towns, the State, neighbors and the public.
Pete has worked with multiple generations of the firm’s clients and their families to help them through their estate tax and business succession planning.

Pete currently serves as Chair of the Institute for Civic Leadership.
