Climate change

Tackling one of the greatest issues facing mankind in the 21st century…

Increasingly, taking action to redress climate change is gaining recognition as a commercial as well as a social and moral imperative. This has not escaped the attention of our international clients and contacts who have been speaking to us about their options.

For some time now, Governments and commercial entities have been making considerable policy changes, and we have been at the forefront of the global climate change and carbon finance markets, advising governments, financial institutions, and corporates on an extensive range of carbon finance matters from origination through to distribution.

International experience

We are an international legal practice and as such offer comprehensive and co-ordinated advice in many major jurisdictions. Recent projects include advising on a hydro based  project in India; advising on a large carbon fund on  for a long term afforestation project in Chile; advising global investment banks on investments in  projects; and post 2012 funds in Europe. As one of the most established firms advising on global climate change and carbon finance matters, we have built up valuable experience to provide a well-rounded and highly effective service to all our global clients.  project in India; advising on a large carbon fund on  for a long term afforestation project in Chile; advising global investment banks on investments in  projects; and post 2012 funds in Europe.
