  • Tehama County - 13 miles northwest of Chico on the Sacramento River
  • This 296 acres of high terrace riparian habitat contains a large river island, and supports a heron rookery as well as a diversity of bird and mammal species.
  • This Wildlife Area has boat-in access only
Special Restrictions:
  • No rifles or pistols may be used or possessed;
  • Camping is not allowed.
Recreational Use:
  • Type C Wildlife Area
  • Birdwatching and wildlife viewing are allowed
  • Turkey, pheasant, quail, and dove are allowed during open seasons.
  • None
