McCracken County Soil Conservation District

The primary objective of the McCracken County Conservation District is to promote the conservation of our natural resources, and to educate the public on how to use these resources wisely, so that future generations can be left with a stable resource foundation to maintain their means of existence.

The McCracken County Conservsation District was established in 1954 by the State Soil and Water Commission, and is a subdivision of The KentuckMcCracken County’s soil and water are among the many important natural resources that we as a county need to conserve. With the help of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the McCracken County Conservation District hopes to promote a closer cooperative effort between the landowners, governmental agencies, private organizations, and concerned elected officials. All those that have an interest, knowledge, or authority to carry out soil and water conservation objectives must work together to ensure an adequate natural resource base for present and future generations.y Department for Natural Resources and as legal entity of state government.
