Mason Conservation District

Surrounded by the Olympic National Forest and the Puget Sound, Mason County is rich in natural resources. 

Famous for our oysters, clams, Christmas trees, and timber exports, residents of this area depend on the management of our local resources. 

The Mason Conservation District assists residents of Mason County by providing a link between landowners, industry, and government agencies. We also provide technical and financial assistance to residents willing to implement conservation Best Management Practices. The District is funded through a variety of funding sources.

The District has thirteen staff members with diverse backgrounds and expertise.  Staff members include: Natural Resource Specialists, Lead Entity Coordinator, Small Farms Extension Educator, Landscape Designer, Education/Outreach Specialists, Environmental Specialists, and a District Engineering Team. 

Most District services are available to Mason County residents at no cost, including technical assistance.
