I started Powell Asset Mapping, LLC after retiring as Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Laconia, NH. My career to that point spanned 35 years in both the private and public sectors embracing the disciplines of forest management, wetlands and soils mapping, survey and engineering technical work, and municipal public works management. The purpose of this business endeavor is to assist small towns and municipalities, villages, homeowner associations, resorts, etc., with sub-meter GPS mapping of stormwater, sanitary sewer, and other infrastructure and building simple geo-referenced databases utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) software to assist the management of these assets. I also perform wetland delineations and soils mapping along with associated permitting for wetland and shoreline impacts. Research and investigation for various issues affecting public and private lands is another service provided.
