Lebanon Conservation District

The Lebanon County Conservation District is actively involved in Farmland Preservation , gypsy moth management, Erosion and Sedimentation Pollution Control , Nutrient Management, Biosolids, the Chesapeake Bay Program and NPDES Storm Water Management permitting, Dirt and Gravel Roads Program, and Watershed Improvement Opportunities and the Lebanon County Conservation Awards Program.

The Lebanon County Conservation District differs from many other Conservation Districts in that we staff a full-time Naturalist and offer indoor and outdoor programs. Although the District doesn't maintain its own nature facility, the naturalist travels to schools, parks, and other outdoor areas to conduct a variety of hands-on lessons and activities.

The LCCD also has a Geographic Information System (GIS) to provide maps for a variety of applications. Groundwater potential, Soil type, Geology, Preserved Farm and Agricultural Security Area maps are available for certain areas upon request.

MISSION
To protect and promote wise stewardship and conservation of the natural resources of Lebanon County on both private and public lands; and to educate and encourage all people to share in this worthy mission.
