The Ecological Services Department implements on-the-ground projects benefiting landscape health, resilience, adaptability and productivity. Implementation of landscape-level projects supports Montrose County's participation in public lands processes and helps ensure natural resource objectives are addressed across jurisdictional boundaries.
By focusing on landscape resilience and adaptability, Eco Services projects benefit agriculture, forest health, wildlife habitats, wildfire resilience, riparian ecosystems, water conservation, and economic productivity.
