Holland Bottoms Willow Oak Forest Preserve

Holland Bottoms Willow Oak Forest Preserve,  Lonoke County, is located in the Mississippi Alluvial Plain. Jacks Bayou, a tributary of Bayou Two Prairie, bisects the natural area. A bottomland hardwood forest containing mature stands of willow oak, mixed with various other bottomland hardwood species, largely characterize the natural area. Only 18% of the bottomland hardwood forests that formerly occurred across the Lower Mississippi Valley currently remain. The natural area falls within the Holland Bottoms Wildlife Management Area and is co-managed with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Hunting

Directions
Travel north on U.S. Highway 67 from Little Rock. Take exit 16A and turn right at red light onto access road. Travel 2.4 miles and turn left on East Coffett Road. Travel 0.2 mile and turn right on Holland Bottoms Road. Travel 0.7 mile and turn right on gravel road at Pickthorne Reservoir. Stay right through gate. Travel 1.1 miles to Wildlife Management Area campground parking area. Proceed on foot south into natural area.
