Guadalupe-Coyote Resource Conservation District

The Guadalupe-Coyote Resource Conservation District (GCRCD) is an independent special district of the state of California led by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to the conservation of natural resources in Santa Clara County.  The District is regulated by Division 9 of the California Public Resources Code (PRC), and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  According to state law, directors are elected officials, but because of the County of Santa Clara costs associated with biennial elections, the District adopted a resolution allowing appointment of the Directors by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.
