When we moved to the Gulf Coast in 2021, we wanted to do something - however small - to support those experiencing food insecurity in Baldwin County. After a couple months of construction, the Giving Garden was born, and we had our first season donating produce in summer 2022. We've teamed up with the local food pantry to donate 100% of the produce grown in our Giving Garden - to date, about 800 lbs in less than a year! Located next to our home, the garden has 18 raised beds, two blueberry patches, one strawberry patch, fig - peach - satsuma - lemon - plum trees - and a couple of picnic tables for the neighbors. We can always use tips from experienced Zone 8B farmers and gardeners - drop us a line and come visit.
