Farm Ownership Loans - Arkansaslast updated: January 2013
FSA’s Direct Farm Ownership loans provide farmers and ranchers the opportunity to:
  • Purchase farmland
  • Construct and repair buildings
  • Make farm improvements
FSA loan officers are responsible for every aspect of the loan application process, and funding is provided through Congressional appropriation. There is no minimum loan amount. The maximum loan amount for a Direct Farm Ownership Loan is $300,000. There is no required down payment. All applicants for direct FO loans must have participated in the day-to-day management of a farm or ranch for at least 3 years.
We encourage you to contact your local office or USDA Service Center to learn more about our programs and the information you will need for a complete application. Our local FSA offices will be happy to provide you with further information and a loan application.
