The mission of the Evergreen Soil and Water Conservation District is to encourage the protection and enhancement of the natural resources of Smyth County through leadership, action, education and cooperation.

The District is the vanguard for conservation efforts in Smyth County, setting the example by providing educational opportunites, public awareness and technical assistance to local businesses and private citizens alike so that vital efforts will be undertaken to guarantee the protection and enhancement of our soil, water, air, wildlike, energy and visual resources. As responsible elected officals, we strive to respond to any and all interests related to conservation of natural resources expressed by any citizen
