Dorrell J. Brister ("Dorrell") joined Gold Law in 1989 and is a shareholder and Secretary of the Corporation and of the Board of Directors of the Firm.
Dorrell received her B.S. in 1972 and her M.S. in 1977 from Louisiana State University and her J.D. in 1987 from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.
While in law school, Dorrell was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, the Moot Court Board (1986 - 1987) and graduated Order of the Coif. She was the co-winner of the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition (1987) and was a Member of the Louisiana State University Jessup International Law Moot Court Team - District Winner and Semi-Finalist in National Competition (1987).
Dorrell is a CPA and Attorney and is a Board certified specialist in the areas of Estate Planning and Administration, and Tax Law. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is an elected member of the Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute.
Throughout her career, Dorrell has been engaged in an active tax law practice with particular focus on estate planning, probate, trusts and commercial transactions.
