Dickinson Conservation District

Caring for Dickinson County's natural resources is a community responsibility - the result of one's actions that impact everyone else. Each and every person who lives, works and plays in Dickinson County has an integral part in determining it's future. We invite you to join the partnership and work for the preservation of Dickinson County's Natural Resources.

The Dickinson Conservation District was organized in 1948 to assist farmers and landowners in the local implementation of conservation practices, particularly soil conservation and management.  Today, the District pursues a variety of projects, expanding beyond just soil conservation.  Such projects include invasive species control, water quality, wildlife habitat improvement, and education.
The District serves Dickinson County under management of a five member board of directors, constituted of and elected by county landowners.
