David Silk regularly practices before municipal and state agencies on such matters as land use, zoning, and environmental matters, property tax issues and State contract bid appeals. He advises individuals, businesses and nonprofits on a wide range of property, membership and contract related issues. David represents individuals and entities on property, probate and estate related issues, including issues arising out of the joint ownership of property, boundary disputes, will contests, easements, adverse possession, title, zoning and riparian access. He appears regularly before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, Maine’s highest court, and in both Maine State and Federal courts. David also serves as a mediator in property and contract related disputes. He completed the Mediating Disputes Program at the Harvard Negotiation Institute, Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiations.
Prior to entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to Associate Justice Louis Scolnik of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. He is peer review rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell for ethical standards and legal ability.
