Conservation Easements
A significant portion of the firm’s practice is devoted to drafting conservation easements, working with landowners to ensure compliance with Federal and State Tax code requirements for income tax deductions and state tax credits, and addressing enforcement issues for land trusts. Mr. Conley serves as the legal counsel for the Palmer Land Trust, the largest land trust in Southeastern Colorado with stewardship responsibility for over 90,000 acres under easement.
