Carter's Lake WMA

Located in the southern Appalachian foothills of north Georgia, Carter's Lake WMA is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and the Army Corps of Engineers. The tract sits on over 6,000 acres and offers an abundance of outdoor activities for visitors. Hunting opportunities include deer, bear, turkey, small game and waterfowl. No ATVs are allowed on the property.
Wheelchair hunters must apply by letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers between August 15–September 10 at:
