Mission 
to serve, educate, and empower our community by providing technical assistance and information to landowners in all aspects of natural resource management.

The Calhoun Conservation District (CCD) was created in 1945 and has been the leading local conservation entity for more than 70 years.  CCD has a well-established track record working with the environmental and agricultural communities coordinating conservation projects and programs throughout the county and southwest Michigan that benefit residents and the community as a whole.  We are your local source for assistance in all natural resource management and education needs.

Guided by a locally elected Board of Directors, CCD employs  knowledgeable staff that focus on ground and surface water issues, sustainable agricultural practices, environmental stewardship, education, wildlife habitat, aquatic ecosystems, forestry  management, and community projects.
