The National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy (Cohesive Strategy) is an innovative approach to addressing the significant and growing challenges of wildland fire management. Over the last three years, the Southeast region has been engaged in the development of a holistic fire  management strategy incorporating all stakeholders, including local governments, Firewise  communities, state forestry agencies and federal government agencies. The Cohesive Strategy is a three-phase, multilateral effort to collaboratively address wildfire challenges across all lands and jurisdictions.
