Forest Stewardship Program National Standards and Guidelines

The purpose of the Forest Stewardship Program is to encourage the long-term stewardship of nonindustrial private forest lands, by assisting the owners of such lands to more actively manage their forest and related resources.  The purpose of this document is to delineate state requirements for forest assessments, as mandated by the 2008 Farm Bill, as well as eligibility and requirements for participation by private landowners.  The full document is available here.
