Mr. Chavis currently works in a technical forester capacity providing support and technical services to MFC’s staff of foresters. He has over ten (10) years of forest management and technical forestry experience and over sixteen (16) years experience in GPS and GIS. In addition, Mr. Chavis has extensive experience in GIS data integration with particular regard to large scale timber inventories. Involvement in past inventory projects includes cruise design, project coordination, cruise computation, statistical analysis and data integration. Mr. Chavis has also been instrumental in the customization of MFC’s inventory software and reporting. Mr. Chavis is a Certified Forester, Prescribed Fire Manager, a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, Society of American Foresters, and the South Carolina Forestry Association.
