Southern Wildlife Resources LLC was formed in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Gassett when he saw a critical need for professional expertise in natural resources management by private citizens, corporate landowners, and governmental agencies.  Resolving the growing conflict between urban wildlife and human populations as well as managing the increased demand for fish and wildlife populations for recreational use is the focus of our mission.  We also specialize in conservation land management, planning, and education. Dr. Gassett has more than 17 years experience as a wildlife biologist, land manager, and high level governmental policy maker in the wildlife conservation field.  He holds master's and doctorate degrees in wildlife management and is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society. 

Dr. Gassett has more than 20 years experience as a wildlife biologist, land manager, and high level governmental policy maker in the wildlife conservation field. Jon's education includes a Master’s and Doctorate degrees in wildlife management and is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society. Jon served as Commissioner for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, the Wildlife Division Director, and Big Game Coordinator.
