South Oahu SWCD

The South Oahu Soil and Water Conservation District (SOSWCD) is a volunteer organization whose mission is to be the leader in urban conservation in Honolulu.  We are one of 16 locally led districts in the State of Hawaii that support protection and conservation of soil and water resources. The South Oahu SWCD boundary extends from Makapuu Point along the Koolau ridgeline to Waiawa Stream and encompasses all of urban Honolulu. We are made up of a volunteer board of directors and associate directors, meeting monthly to discuss and support conservation in our district, and to find ways to meet the needs of farmers, nursery operators, conservationists, and residents in urban Honolulu.
