Dr. Lewis is a 2006 graduate of Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he joined Backstretch Medicine and Surgery, a prominent racetrack veterinary practice in Louisiana and Kentucky. His primary interests are sports medicine and lameness in the Thoroughbred racehorse, Western performance horse, and English discipline horse. Dr. Lewis is also a certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist. He is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Kentucky. He is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association.
