Mary A. Elfner
Expertise in the environmental field at the local, state and federal government levels, non-profit leadership and specializing in land, water and wildlife conservation.

Ms. Elfner has 15 years of experience in working with local, state and federal governments, and non-profit groups on water, land and wildlife conservation and protection. She recently served as environmental consultant for the City of Tybee Island, Georgia, to complete the Tybee Island Beach Management Plan and corresponding public process. She has worked on water conservation plans, watershed protection plans, and land protection plans. She recently won the American Water Works Association Conservation Division Best Paper Award in 2004.

Ms. Elfner has worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Savannah-Chatham County Metropolitan Planning Commission and is highly experienced in water conservation planning and programming. While with DNR, Ms. Elfner developed and implemented the statewide water conservation program. Ms. Elfner also has experience with non-profit principles and practices as she served as the executive director of the Coastal Georgia Land Trust from 1999 to 2002.
