From its inception in 1989 and incorporation in 1992, the Crafton Hills Open Space Conservancy was created to protect and preserve the natural open space of the Crafton Hills. We strive to protect in perpetuity the natural environment of the area for its significant watershed, ecological, recreation, and aesthetic values. CHOSC has preserved more than two thirds of the 4500 acres through acquisition and cooperative management with San Bernardino County, Crafton Hills College, and the Cities of Redlands and Yucaipaipa
