Anderson Conservation District

The Anderson Soil and Water Conservation District is a sub-division of state government charged with meeting fundamental land, water and related natural resource problems at the local level.

Services

  • Planning assistance to determine needed conservation practices to improve water quality.
  • Layout and design assistance on strip cropping, grassed waterways, ponds and other conservation practices.
  • Soil and water evaluations for individuals, units, of government and developers.
  • Management information of fish ponds, wildlife land, pastureland and woodland.
  • Waste management plans on livestock operations.
  • Cost sharing available for tree planting and some water quality improvement practices.
  • Provide technical and informational assistance to  developers, homebuilders and urban dwellers.
  • Scanned imaged products including color infrared and black and white aerial photography for a nominal fee.
