Non-game and Endangered Species Conservation Actlast updated: June 2011

The legislation offers income tax credits to landowners in exchange for the preservation of critical habitat for threatened or endangered species on land known to support populations of species in need of conservation.

KAN. STAT. ANN. § 79-32.203.

Landowners receive an annual credit against the tax liability equal to the total amount paid by the taxpayer during the taxable year for ad valorem taxes and assessments that are imposed by the state.
