Founded with a dedication to wetland, riparian and stream restoration, Natural State Streams (NSS) is focused on producing superior restoration projects that provide lasting benefits. Situated in central Arkansas, our local experience includes stream restoration projects in the Ozark, Ouachita Mountain, and Mississippi Delta regions. NSS specializes in producing compensatory stream and wetland mitigation credits to offset unavoidable impacts permitted through §401/401 of the Clean Water Act. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of both industry and the environment by creating straightforward mitigation banking solutions and providing meaningful biological services by improving in-stream and riparian habitat and overall water quality.

NSS uses the principles of natural channel design and process-based methodologies to identify and develop stream restoration projects statewide. We use a watershed approach to seek and complete large-scale restoration projects. Working with private landowners, various industry representatives, as well as state and federal agencies, NSS implements projects on significantly degraded streams to stop bank erosion, improve water quality and restore biological integrity to Arkansas’ invaluable streams and wetlands. Specializing in offsetting environmental impacts associated with ongoing resource extraction processes and infrastructure development, NSS is here to provide mitigation credits for purchase to meet your needs.
