The Cardinal Tract is a 161-acre tract located near Adel. Hunting opportunities include deer, turkey and small game during state seasons. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Cook County, and then Cardinal Tract VPA.

Voluntary Public Access Area 

Cardinal Tract is a Voluntary Public Access (VPA) property. Since 2014, the Wildlife Resources Division has been able to enhance and add to its WMA program through additional temporary agreements with private landowners for public hunting opportunities thanks to a USDA grant.

Directions

From Adel: Take Highway 76 west for 1.47 miles, turn left onto 10th Road, and right onto Washington Post/South Airport Road. Kiosk is 0.6 miles ahead on right. VPA is on both sides of the dirt road.
