  • Lassen County - approximately 35 miles northeast of Susanville.
Special Restrictions:
  • Camping is not allowed
  • From Susanville take Highway 395 north to left on Karlo Rd; travel Karlo Rd. for approximately 20 miles to the wildlife area.
  • This 548 acres of sagebrush covered uplands within Snowstorm Creek Canyon includes two small reservoirs, Lower Biscar and Upper Biscar, which supply water for wildlife such as pronghorn antelope. The area is undeveloped.
Recreational Use:
  • Type C Wildlife Area
  • Birdwatching and wildlife viewing are permitted. Along with the waterfowl and upland game species, the area supports coyotes, bobcats, badgers, and marmots.
  • Waterfowl, dove, quail, sage grouse, cottontail, and deer is permitted during open seasons.
  • None
